Christmas Eve (kind of)

We celebrated Christmas a couple of days early this year because we traveled to Springfield for Christmas.  The boys really didn't keep track of the calendar all that much so we got away with it.  It won't be long before someone is going to notice the dates just don't add up!

We read the Christmas Story and The Night Before Christmas.

We also wrote notes to Santa

And Kade wrote too - just not on paper.

I think Keagan's favorite part was getting the reindeer food out.

We had a plate with cookies and milk for Santa and a plate for the reindeer with "reindeer food" and carrots.

We took the reindeer food outside.

"Dear Santa, I hope you like the cookies"

Setting out the cookies for Santa.

The boys didn't realize that it wasn't really Christmas Eve, which I am thankful for.  I just didn't want to explain it all - yet.  I'm not ready for the magic to end yet.  We don't make a huge deal about "Santa" because Christ's birth is what we really celebrate. All in all we had our own wonderful Christmas.  Merry Christmas!
