One More Time

Over Thanksgiving Kellen got to ride in the combine with Pa and Daddy one more time. I think they were supposed to finally finish up the corn this week! FINALLY!! I think this is the first time they have gone into Thanksgiving during harvest. Of course we were glad because that meant the boys could get in another ride.

He finally is too tall to stand in the tire wheel. I'm sad that we didn't get one with Keagan since he was sick.
Kellen loves these pictures so I had to post them. What more could a boy want??? A combine, an auger wagon, and a semi!!

I'm so glad for Dad and the guys that they had a few nice days to try and get finished up. Hopefully next year will be better!

Oh Christmas Tree!

Last Saturday we put up our Christmas tree. It was a bit early but our weekends are packed for the next several weeks and thought this would be our best chance. So we took the boys out Saturday evening and hunted down the perfect tree.

You can't tell but Kellen was pretty excited about looking for a tree. However he was more excited about the blow-up things you put up in your front yard. Sorry honey - you won't ever see one of those things in my front yard!

That's the one!

Kellen waiting anxiously for Daddy to tie up the tree on top of our car.

Just call us the Griswalds!!??!!

Kellen smelling the tree. He kept saying "ooh that smells nice!!"

Daddy giving Kellen instructions on how to put the lights on the tree properly.

The finished product. Kellen actually put the star up on the tree this year but I got that one on video instead.
Kellen and Keagan both have trees in their rooms as well. Overall it went very well and our tree is still alive after we got back from Thanksgiving yesterday.

10 months old!

Keagan turned 10 months old yesterday and it kind of snuck up on me! We were busy getting a Christmas tree and all the decorations out and I forgot to take some pictures of him!! So I'm a day late.
Keagan is really starting to cheese it up when the camera comes out. He was trying to climb over the back of the couch this morning so I caught him in action.

"Hey - I'm going to go over the back if you don't watch me daddy!!!"

Wrestling 101

Kellen and all 27 pounds of him have been interested in wrestling and tackling lately. Mostly he tells Karsten that he wants to play tackle. However - now Keagan is his wrestling buddy - and Keagan LOVES it!! He only get's upset when he's ready for Kellen to let go of his death grip and Kellen won't let up.

Down for the count!

1-2-3!!! You're done!
Don't worry - Keagan is only 4-5 pounds shy of his big brother. I think he can handle it!!!

Kellen's Thanksgiving Party at MMO

Today was Kellen's Thanksgiving feast at Mother's morning out. The staff prepared a wonderful meal for all of us and the kids helped with the preparations and decorations.
They also sang a few songs for us as well. It was adorable and they all were very proud of themselves I think!

Sorry these are not good quality as I took them with my regular camera. Kellen is behind the boy in red plaid.

This was Kellen's first time on a stage so I was very proud of him for staying up there!!

Gator play

Yesterday I watched the Oldham kids while Betsy had to go in for the dreaded jury duty. Thankfully for her she didn't have to stay!!

While the babies were sleeping I took the older ones out front to ride the gator. They both played very well and took turns driving it around.

Posing for a picture

I'm not sure what they were doing here?? I think they thought it was a little bright out? It was very cloudy and overcast so beats me!!!

I think Kellen might have been giving HK instructions here...."No Hallie Kate you need to stop and turn and go the other way!"

Kellen was reaching down to shift the gear into reverse. I think HK thought something was pretty funny about it though!!!
Overall we had a nice morning. We also rode the tricycle, played with sidewalk chalk, played on the clubhouse, and watched curious george. You never know what's in store for these two though!

That's one big dog!!

The other night Kellen and Karsten were playing around and Kellen wanted Karsten to be a dog. Lately Kellen has been acting like a dog but it was turned around that night.

It was soooo funny. Kellen had a great time dragging Daddy by Bailey's leash.

Then it was role reversal. Bailey dragging Karsten. Kellen laughed and laugh and so did I watching all this unfold. I guess you would've had to been here!!

Around the house

We have had a pretty uneventful past couple of weeks. But I'm not complaining. Sometimes it's nice to have nothing planned!! These are just some random happenings over the last week or so.

Today I added new sand to the sandbox. We had accidently left the lid off a few weeks ago and the old sand got really gross and would never dry out. So we started anew. Of course Kellen was pretty excited.

I put Keagan in for the first time. He loved it - this is his most common expression these days!

"You mean that I actually get a loader of my own??? Thanks Brother!!"

Keagan dropping the sand after I said "No Keagan, Icky!" for the 3rd time. He never actually got it into his mouth.

I'm definitely going to have to do some more baby-proofing!!

This was actually at HK's house the other night. I told Kellen that we needed to start picking up because it was time to leave. They climbed back into the corner and had a death grip on each other! It was hilarious and Betsy and I had to run and get our cameras.

If you ask Kellen who his best friend is these days, 90% of the time he'll say Bailey. I'm not sure Bailey would say the same!

And another dog lover - he has been quite fascinated with their food and their chew toys.

Happy Halloween!!

I was thankful we had a nice evening for the boys to trick-or-treat last night. It's really the first nice day we have had in quite a while. Karsten had the weekend off as well so I was really excited for that!

My little scarecrow and "Captain Hook"
Kellen really had fun with his sword and hook. He kept trying to chop peoples' arms off.

We had trick-or-treaters as early as 3:30 yesterday afternoon. We took the boys out about an hour to just a few houses.

Keagan was finally happy about getting something for himself. He really just liked the package.
For the hour we were out, we really hit the jackpot. Unfortunately I'll be the one who eats most of the candy!!!
